Shared Micromobility Playbook

Shared Micromobility Playbook

This playbook is a continuously updated site that explores the core components of a comprehensive shared micromobility policy for local governments to consider.

Key findings

In the past, mobility services were typically established by local governments through competitive procurement processes and public-private partnerships which were difficult and costly to establish, manage and expand.

Now it is common for new mobility services to launch completely independent of local governments and without contracts, permits, or business licenses.

Shared micromobility services have the opportunity to advance city goals related to equity, access to jobs and services, and the climate.
