
Joe Iacobucci is the West Coast General Manager and New Mobility Practice Leader for Sam Schwartz. He is an internationally recognized leader in the transportation field focusing his career on transforming urban streets and transportation networks to enhance equity, connectivity, safety, and optimization by prioritizing sustainable modes. He has performed work throughout the US and internationally to enhance urban mobility through complete streets while also performing future-looking efforts as congestion pricing and emerging mobility. His work has guided clients through a variety of site, street, and strategic plans to manage current and emerging mobility (CAVs, MOD, MaaS) for Seattle, Los Angeles, New York City, San Jose, Miami, and other major markets. Mr. Iacobucci has also performed national studies for Transit Center and the National Academies, thought leadership and pilot programs for providers as Ford, Lyft, and others, and guidance for USDOT, APTA, and NACTO. He is a contributor to the book No One at the Wheel, the co-author of Driverless Future (driverlessfuture.org), and his work has been featured in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Wired, Fast Company, Tech Crunch, Slate, CityLab, Curbed, several conferences, and academic publications.
