New Mobility Planner
Matt Warfield is a New Mobility Planner with the Boston Transportation Department where he works on programs that help the City meet its ambitious mode-shift and carbon neutrality goals. His work includes expanding access to shared vehicles, both large and small; preparing the City for the age of the electric vehicle; implementing GoHubs!, Boston's version of the Mobility Hub; and developing curb management strategies to address the ever increasing demand for curb space.
Prior to arriving in Boston, he worked for the City of Baltimore where he helped launch their e-scooter share program, design and install safe bicycling infrastructure, and expand the demand-based parking meter rate program. He holds master degrees in social work and urban planning from the University of Michigan.
