Conferences, Webinars and Workshops
Urbanism Next offers a variety of community building, networking and educational opportunities.
Advances in emerging technology such as the rise of e-commerce, the proliferation of new mobility, and the growth of the sharing economy are having profound effects not only on how we live, move, and spend our time in cities, but also increasingly on urban form and development. Urbanism Next webinars investigate these topics and more. Visit the Webinar page to see the schedule and sign up for upcoming webinars.
2020 Virtual Forum
The 2020 Urbanism Next Virtual Forum brought together an interdisciplinary group of leaders on May 14, 2020 to discuss how emerging technologies shape the future of our cities. This timely conversation addressed the short-term impacts and the long-term effects that disruption - whether it be from the introduction of new technologies, companies suddenly pulling out of markets, or a global pandemic - may have on communities. Check out the Urbanism Next blog to read key take-aways from the event.
Take a look at our 2020 Conference Archive to see the Virtual Forum schedule, learn more about the speakers who participated, and check out some of their PDF presentations. There is also a link for registered attendees to view videos of the Forum sessions. If you missed the Forum but would like to pay $50 for access to the video recordings please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
We will also be releasing videos from the event one at a time over the next few months for the general public. Check out Nico Larco's welcome and introduction to the Virtual Forum now.

We plan to have our next in-person conference take place in Portland in 2021 and will announce those dates as soon as they are confirmed.
Thank you for your patience as we navigate this unprecedented situation. We appreciate our sponsors and the community of people who come together to support our work and participate in discussions about the impacts emerging technologies have on our cities.
Stay healthy and we look forward to connecting with you throughout the year!
