Move Culver City: Designing and Implementing Tactical Mobility Lanes

Is it possible to dramatically transform major urban streets in less than a year? Covering just 5 sq. mi., Culver City experiences some of the worst congestion in the Los Angeles region, much of it through-traffic to and from other destinations, including nearby LAX. Anticipating future population and employment growth and understanding that the municipality cannot build its way out of gridlock, Culver City decided to design, build, and monitor 1.3 miles of tactical mobility lanes connecting the Culver City E-Line Station to Downtown Culver City and Arts District as part of a pilot demonstration project.

CE Credits for APA, AIA, and ASLA, should be available for many sessions and workshops. More information on this will be available shortly.
