Older Adults, New Mobility and Automated Vehicles

The promise that automated vehicles and new shared-use mobility options will radically improve mobility for older adults is not a given. This outcome depends on public- and private-sector actors coming together to create a set of supportive circumstances that enable us to harness emerging technology for both individual and societal benefit. This session will present a framework of interconnected factors that all stakeholders in the new mobility space should consider as they plan and executive new travel option.
