Ace Parking says Uber, Lyft have cut parking business up to 50% in some venues
Large San Diego parking company Ace Parking has reported lower parking rates due to the increasing popularity of Uber and Lyft.
Key findings
Ace Parking’s overnight parking has declined by 10 percent, restaurant valet stands by 25 percent, and nightclub valets by 50 percent.
“In 2017, 68 percent of business travelers chose Uber or Lyft, while 25 percent chose rental cars. Only 7 percent hopped in taxis, according to Certify, which tracks business travel spending.”
