In working with Waterfront Toronto, the public entity that owns the land, to develop Quayside, Sidewalk Labs would reimagine urban life in five dimensions—housing, energy, mobility, social services, and shared public spaces—with an aim to “serve as a model for sustainable neighborhoods” around the world.

The Consumer Electrics Show has previously been a showcase of TVs, smartphones, and other tech toys. These days, there is an increasing amount of companies selling "Smart Cities."



Sidewalk Labs has plans to develop a 12-acre parcel on the Toronto waterfront.



The idea is to reimagine the sustainable neighborhood from five aspects of life.


